We just put a york 210 in my buddys truck and since hee put new gaskets in for like the first cple mnths u have to put oil in it liek every 3 weeks or so depending on how switch happy you are, but as for the oil in the system as long as you have a water trap it wil get full fast but has not messed anyhitgn up so far and we have been switch happy alot lately since we got a bunch of nice days out here we took it out

If you use a york you dont need an oiler. If you use a sanden or others like it you will need an oiler. Yes the ooil from both will go into your system. If you put a water/oil seperator right before your tank a minimal amount of oil will get into your system.

Hope that helps.

Thanks man. Yeah I got an old compressor that is not a york and it doesn't have a place to hold oil. Figured I'd add an oiler to it just didn't wanna mess up the valves or bags or anything with the oil

Even if the oil does get into your system it wont hurt any thing. Your valves are made to transfer all sorts of stuff, oil water, not just air. However it will make a bit of a mass wherever the valves dump.

Do u "have to " run a oiler on a sanden ,im installing one now and i really don't have the room .Why can't i just cheak and add oil to it like u would a york ?

Yes you should run an oiler with a sanden.they have no internal oil sump like a york.the sanden will purge itself of oil while in use.

a sanden is like a rotary, and a york is like a regular internal combustion engine, the york has an oil pan, the sanden has veins. After four i will never run a sanden again. and will never tell anyone to run a sanden. my york will fill two six gal tanks to 200psi from 170 in nine seconds. i will never go back to electric.

No oiler needed for a york, since the sump is internal, and yes you need an oiler for a sanden. just my 2 cents. good luck man.
