99-02 chevy front clip on a 88-98 tahoe

well how do the lights and grill mount up? are they like the 88-98 and you just drill new holes in the header panel? or do you need a 99+ header panel?

other than that buy 99+ hood and fenders cut the front parts off mold them into the 88-98s then make new bumper brackets and put the bumper on.

am i close? sounds like a good bit of money and work... but very worth it.....

Although i commend y'all guys for doen this swap or conversion. I honestly don't like the way it looks on there. For some reason it just don't fit to me. Not that the craftsmenship is bad it's very nice it just looks like odd or something. If thats what you like cool but it don't look all that great to me. I know y'all weren't asken me tho. I like the 03+ chevy fronts on the 88-98 body chevy better. Thats my two pennies. Good luck with the truck man. Hope it works for ya!

yea i wish i could have did the 02 gmc frontend on mine but i was just doin good 2 have the interrior and paint and body work done!!!!

im doin a 03 avalanche conversion on my 94

i was doin an 03 but i saw a truck at dangerzone with it so im gonna cut the lights n grill mounts off and do avalanche

im here to tell you it is not a minimal amount of work to do this conversion, i did the 06 Gmc front end on a 94 ext cab truck, and it is some work.

whats the hardest part? getting the headlights/grille mounted or modifing the fenders and hood? anybody got a price range for parts list?

capcomfan19, there is more than one way to do this conversion as you can see on that green suburban he used all of the factory clip and just made the headlights grille and bumper fit to it, i used the majority of the 06 fenders the whole 06 hood, new radiator support and all lights grille bumper ect., my way is harder but i think it looks better in my opinion, im not knocking the way they did it just like more of the new body style parts on there.

so you can do it with the stock radiator support right?
