moser charges 110 for an axle respline, and 110 for your actual housing.

Swap in an older Toyota rearend or Ranger rearend.

anyone know how much narrower the toyota or ranger is?

the pre 84 is 3" narrower.... ryan have you had moser do import truck axles before? i was curious if they could respline them or just made new axles... the new ones would run you about 265 bucks shipped with new studs.....

i just pulled my rear out and took it to a machine shop and after a month they told me they couldnt do it because of the bearings and shims. i cant understand it. is it possible to shorten 1 3/8" on each side or not? if so where should i go?

Get an axle from an early Toyota. $100 at the junkyard. 73-78 is 53" wide. 79-83 is 55" wide. 84-88 I think is 56" or 56.5" wide.

Cris, Moser will do all new axles. I know of a 10" narowed axle in a Taco with brand new axles that are like a foot long. Lol.

56" wide, '79-95 2wd Trucks - 5 Lug

This is info I've seen but I don't think it's for the 79-95, maybe 84-95...

79-83 is 55" wide, I'm 100% sure.
