yeah i bought a used core support from a yard here and scored a new grill and really nice lights from ebay...if you buy new core support stuff..you gotta buy the pieces separate and weld them in..and they are spendy

hmm interesting i got told i didnt need the core support to swap. the only reason im doing this is for the 4wd sheet metal. i would really like to put a tacoma front on but bodylines from fenders come back into the doors to far and they dont match up with mine.

if you only doing 4x4 fenders you dont need to modify anything they will bolt right on, you just need new corner lights..you need the core support if your doing 4runner grill and headlights (you dont NEED it..but i highly recommend it) so yeah if you only doing fenders..you can use any 89-95 4wd fender, OR any 90-95 4 runner fender

i just got a quote today for a 4runner frontend hood fenders core support head lights grill bumper $850.00 is that good, or should i look around so more, this from a wrecking yard not ebay

Well you can look more...thats always a good idea when your buying parts, but $850 for all
that dont sound bad! I paid almost $1000 for all my stuff from TAP last year so look them
up too...hell that was shipping too so you being there in California it might be cheaper! Have you tried California Mini-truck
dismantlers??

thats where i got my quote from, i know the owner

when i've searched i found the full front end for no more then 550$ also it would be good if your friends with a machanic because of there dealers liscence you can even get it cheaper when they order it, at cost the full conversion is about 400, of course this is UN-INSTALLED but can come chrome or painted.

The aftermarket parts for this swap aren't bad, but I wouldn't blame you for getting factory fenders. Get the rest of the stuff aftermarket, though- the grilles are nice, the headlights are glass... don't spend more on used OEM parts!
As for the core support, that's your call- if yours is in good shape, just modify it to fit the 4Runner headlights- I've seen a bunch, and it's a fairly easy mod. If yours is banged up, then go ahead and swap it to make your life easier.
The A/C condenser and the receiver/drier (if you have A/C, of course) will be in the way of your headlight bracket, so be ready to relocate it a bit.

Good luck with the swap- they look great!
