are they good trucks as in the motor? its a 94 with about 150000 miles. hes asking 2000 thought it was a good deal. and isnt isuzu made by nissan? ive been building hondas for the past 4 years so i know alot about motors and working on cars but im wanting to get into mini trucks now. its either this or an older toyota.

i've got a '93 with 102000 miles and it needed a new head. ran it for about 4000 miles and had problems with timing. it hasn't ran in a year or two and we are still messing with the timing. hopefully we can get it fixed soon.

i would buy the isuzu and put a 350 in it or buy the toyota with a 22re engine. also, not sure if isuzu is made by nissan, even though everyone that has seen my isuzu thought it was a nissan. lol.

my isuzu is made by Subaru, Isuzu, and has alot of GM parts on the motor... mut of a truck huh.

The Izuzu motors themselves are fine. It seems to be the Carbs on them that are shit. Mine as well as everyone I know with an izuzu have either rebuilt or replaced carbs and they run fine. I thought mine was a timing issue but I swapped carbs and it ran like a champ. So get the izuzu and put a weber carb on it and you should be fine

I have a 91 changed the carb. to a Weber because of the bodydrop but haven't had any problems at all has 82k miles.

if u get an older hombre or pup.. some of them have chevy 4.3 v6 and the 2.x liter 4cylinder
they look pretty tight on the ground but theyre tiny trucks

it depends on how good of a used truck you get but most of the parts on mine where all GM parts...
