battery dying trying to find out why

well, look at your Amp guage and see if your reading about 14 volts...if so your alternator could be ok...If you have removed and replaced your battery with a know good battery that works with that truck..then you are pretty much left with wiring or a a compenent that draws alot of amps that doesnt turn off with your truck...

I would personally check all your grounds, espeacially the one from the battery to the block and the frame. As CHOSN1 said, check your battery terminals...and if need to , replace them bad boys...

I had all the same symptoms you had with my truck, and in the end, it ended up being my fuel pump...Good luck , and keep us posted on what happens...peace

I have a yellow optima and it keeps going and going and going...

I ended up changing my battery and then it died. So then I changed the alternator but used the dead battery which killed my alternator. I then changed both the alternator and battery and so far it seems to work. Try that.

I had a problem like this on my Jeep and come to find out the battery teminals we shot I replaced them and BAM worked fine every since then

i actually fixed it. I took it to a shop and they replaced my starter wires and solonoid. and tuns out they didnt tighten the bolts so they worked there way off and didnt charge the battery. gotta love other people messing with your vehicles
