hardbody rough idle

before the cat gets hot but not to the point it changes color,i removed the cat and it still didnt run right.

the cat won't fix the original concern of a rough idle but did it at least have more power when you removed it?? sounds like you may have a couple things goin on at once, but like I said, it's really hard to diag something "over the net" per say. Hopefully you can get this thing figured out or find somebody near you that's competent enough to know how to diagnose something. unfortunately there are alot of "part's changers" out there in the automotive field. Usually they are refered to as mechanics. The one's that acutally know how to diag something properly are refered to as technicians. However, mechanics might call themselves technicians at times not actually understanding the difference between the two. Good luck, I wish I could help more. Did you ever find out if the MAF and IAC valve were one in the same or are they 2 separate components on this truck?? the idle situation still sounds like an IAC problem to me. Again, good luck man. I have this proble i replaced the IAC valve and has my TPS recalbrated. cured everything but my truck ran fine so you may have other issues.
