has anyone heard these subs? everywhere ive gone, the people either dont deal pioneer or they have never heard of them. i have a memphis audio m-class 10 in my truck (88 toyota pickup std. cab) that i really like and takes a thrashing but sometimes doesnt drop as low as i would like. space limited me to a 10 and im still running it deficient on air space. i would like to put a 12 in my truck and the pioneer slim sub will permit me to do so but i dont know if it hits good or not. what type of excursion the sub gets, or just an overall opinion of this sub. any help would be cool. thanks guys!

from looking on their site, the mounting depth on it is 3-1/4" which requires .5-1.0 cu. ft. of air space. im assuming thats in a sealed enclosure. also i had a question as to what would be the best amp to run it to... rms on the sub is 350 watts, but peak is 1400. ive never seen a difference between peak and rms that big before. currently i have a deisel audio 600 amp (which i know isnt the greatest) but it pushes my 10 really good. anyways, if i bought a better amp what wattage would be the best. ive heard that optimum amp size is half of the peak wattage. not sure how true that is. and also, i was thinking about runnning a capacitor as well because i have a whole lot of shit running off one battery with the suspension and all that.

i have one in my truck and i like it. its not the loudest sub but it still sounds pretty good. JL is makin a shallow mount in a 12 and a 13.5 that should be comin out later on this year and is like 2 1/5" mounting depth or somethin like that. I'm gonna get one of those for the daily and if i like that better than the pioneer i'll prolly put it in my mini.
