ronnie look on southeasttex and theres a guy on there who has a carb 350 for sale i say in the long run it will be better to go old skool but then your gauges wont work since there all electrical if you do plan sell the whipple hit me up i might be intrested in it

i carbed my 350 as well from inj.

HEI distributor,
pulled all the wiring. and the ECM.

You have to have a computer for the newer 700r4's.

Older ones you don't have to.

You don't need the computer to shift the tranny on the older ones, you just need a lock out switch so it knows to lock the converter.

YOU MUST ADJUST THE TV CABLE PROPERLY when using it with a carbed motor.

and TCI also sells the lock out box you need to lock up over drive.

All in all, it's easy.

why dont you run a small block with no computer and run a transmission that doesnt need one like a older 700r or turbo 350

would save alot of hastle but run about 1200$ more

The motor I have in it is freshly rebuilt with no miles on it. I put it in and turned around a tore the truck apart.

buy a vortec carb intake then run the hei dist

you could get an edelbrock intake, an hei dist, and a 700r4. however, i thought the computers had vats modules or whatever???

the early trans did but i think his is a 4l60e if im correct they sell a stand alone trans puter but in my 78 i have a 700r4 and a b&m lock up module for my over drive and it works perfectly but if you need another trans hit me up i own a junkyard in vidor
