Hydro-air is nothing new. Like stated above, the bags inflate and push the cylinder ram which moves the fluid in the lines and push the cylinders attached to the axle down. I have a friend that had a hydro-air setup on his grand am about 10 years ago. This was back before there were bagged struts on the market. The only thing that sucked was that cylinders leak a small amount of fluid to stay lubricated, so after time he would get low on fluid (thus losing lift) and have to refill his lines.
