I want to maintain my factory deck in my 2007 Sierra but run a sub and amp...

i've got a 2-channel amp with speaker level inputs on it. Do I just splice into the rear speaker wires and then run the sub bridged from the +ve and -ve of the 2 channels?

you will get a cleaner signal if u splice in of the wiring harness. but if u dont want to hav to run rca's that far u can go about doing it the way u said. (sometimes tieing in at the speaker will pick up engine noise.)

wouldn't be running rca's if using speaker level inputs though.

the spliced speaker line might be running far in that case, but not rca's right?

yea sorry didnt see that u need to pun speaker wire to the radio to keep from getin engine noise and u will get a lot cleaner signal that way also 9JUST REMBER NO MATER WHERE U LOOK IN FOR WHAT RESON ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO GO TO THE SOURCE UR POWER COMES FROM FOR THE BEST SIGNAL

yes and run one of those lil RCA boxes, forget the name. I have done that on way to many vehicles with factory radios and never once had engine noise or any problems..

why when i can just plug the spliced speaker wires into the amp?

those rca boxes are kinda pricey too aren't they.

Yes they are especially for a good one but they are worth the money, every single penny. The performance increase by going with a Navone Engineering line level convertor is day and night difference from what you get just by using the amp's speaker level inputs.

I pull those line level adapters out of cars all the time. Used cars we get in and put them back to stock. Send me $20 and I'll send you an adapter. I've got boxes of power wire, dash kits, cd players, all kinds of shit
