Well since the thread is called "The Best Shocks ever..." the best shock that I could imagine would be the KING 2.0 6" travel single tube bypass with a resevoir. Why are they the best shock ever? Well because they can be tuned to ride exactly how you want them to, but when you drop the truck down to an inch or two off the ground they get firm (which is also tuneable.) Why dosen't any one have them? because they are $900 a pair. Where can you get some? Me.

Second choice for me would be Bilsteins from RCD Classics. They can get the same shock length in several different valving options, that way you can get a shock that best complements your suspension design and driving style...The Fox's would also work nicely too.

MAX IS RIGHT ABOUT THE SHOCKS BUT YOU REALLY DONT NEED KINGS 2.0 W RESERVOIR OR FOX 2.0 W/ RESERVOIRS. RESERVOIRS ARE USED TO KEEP A SHOCK COOL AND ALLOW THE FLUID TO FLOW BACK AND FORTH, BASICALLY MAKE A BIGGER SHOCK OUT OF A SMALLER SHOCK. ALSO HE IS RIGHT ABOUT BEING ABLE TO ADJUST THE PSI SETTINGS ON THE SHOCKS. THEY ARE PRESET TO 200 PSI NITROGEN CHARGED FROM KING OR FOX. THE REASON THAT THE SHOCK RIDES STIFFER WHEN YOU ARE RIDING LOW IS BECAUSE MOST OFFROAD SHOCKS RUN WHAT THEY CALL A FLUTTER STACK, MEANING THAT AT MIN TRAVEL THE SHOCK IS STIFF AND REALLY DOESN'T OPEN UP MUCH UNTIL TO REACH MID TRAVEL SO THAT THE SUSPENSION IS MOVING AND THE DRIVER ISN'T. YOU CAN CHANGE THE VALVING SETTINGS IN THESE SHOCKS BUT EVEN WHEN YOU VALVE THEM LIGHTLY IN THEROY THE SHOCK IS STILL WORKING THE SAME WAY. GREAT SHOCKS THOUGH AND THEY LOOK SICK AS FUCK. THE AIRSHOCKS FROM FOX AND KING ARE A GOOD SHOCK THAT WOULD HONESTLY PROBABLY SUIT OR NEEDS MUCH BETTER. THEY ARE ADJUTABLY FROM 50PSI TO 500PSI SO IT REALLY ALLOWS YOU TO DIAL IN YOUR SETUP. THE RCD CLASSIC SHOCKS ARE GREAT SHOCKS BECAUSE YOU CAN REALLY DIAL THEM TO YOUR SETUP AS WELL BUT IT IS REALLY JUST A ONE TIME DEAL, NOT REAL EASY TO ADJUST.

I AGREE THAT THESE SHOCKS ALL LISTED ABOVE ARE WAY BETTER THAN THE USUAL MONROE SHOCK THAT EVERYONE USES.

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I USUALLY SEE IS THAT PEOPLE REALLY DON'T MOUNT THERE SHOCKS THE RIGHT WAY. MAKING SURE THAT THE SHOCK IS NOT BINDING AND IS ABLE TO ACTUALLY TRAVEL AND NOT BOTTOM OUT OR TOP OUT WILL HELP OUT TONS.

PURCHASE WISELY AND DON'T GO CHEAP!!
