How to build one or how to set one up?

put them inline between the valve and air cylinder.....

but you only need 1 for each air cylinder....

run a line from the cylinder to the tank. and then put two valves on the tank, fill and dump.

wa-la. expanded volume. it will just take a while to fill it up the first time.

I'm thinking a gallon might be a little extreme.

If you are running cylinders a 1/4 gallon of air per cylinder is plenty. I ran 1/2 gallon on each side and you could push the car to the ground with your knee it was so soft.

They aren't even necessary for the front. Just put the valves in the back of the vehicle and the air in the lines is enough to give you the cushion you need.

I'm not sure how much volume you would need, but it needs to be part of the bag, not the valves. You can feed it from the valves, but when the valves aren't being used, air should be able to flow freely to and from the expansion tank. I would run 1/2" line with a ball-valve or some other sort of means to limit the air flow so that you can dial in the expansion effect.

Just an idea, but couldn't you run some dual port bags as expansion tanks. Like some really soft ones like Airlift or Contitech. I would think that would give you a similar ride to bags, then you wouldn't have so much air volume to fill. If the expansion tank is part of the cylinder, then everytime you air out you would have to empty the expansion tank also. So is you use a 1 gallon tank on each corner, that's 4+ gallons of air everytime you air up, and down. THat's alot of air.
