My friend has a 2000 GMC Sonoma and he will be bagging it soon. There not going to cut the bed but they will notch the frame. Any body have any pics of how the back will look layed w/out cutting the bed.

tell him to just cut the bed and get a notch cover so he can actually lay out. will probably look like he has 4" blocks in the back with it laid out. maybe even tuck some tire.

I think he should but it aint gonna happen. He has the zq8 suspension and 18's if that matters.

there was a silverado with a stock bed layed out hard on 20's at a dealership here for sale
parallel links and bag over axle not one cut in the bed and only thing under the tanneau were 2 viair 480's and the tank was under the bed too

looked wierd being so low with a stock bedfloor

i like the look of a cutup bed with a cover tho

so im sure it can be done on 18's on a s10

ya, fullsizes can get away with it. but i doubt an s10 will lay hard with no cutting.

I read once u could lay on a 205/40/17 with out cutting any body once dont know if that is true or not

it might be, you'll need the biggest not you can get under the bed (i think on a 2nd gen a bolt in MIGHT do it, but i dont remember), you can goto www.airridetalk.com and look at their notch calculator and it will tell you if you'll lay on that tire with a bolt in notch.

anyways, i'd go behind the axle f9000 bag setup in the back if you wanna stay under the bed along with a tri 4 link, you can get heims instead of bushings (get the good ones) and have short tabs and clear the bed.

you'll lay with a 205/40/17 with a bolt in notch but you'll only have .047" of clearence.. i'd just 'mini notch' it out of 2x2 or something. could always 2x2 acorss the top of the frame, then plate both sides down ot the bottom of the frame.. lol killerrides did it on a truck a few years back.

mine is notched and only has a small hole above the pumpkin, here's how it sits, but the crossmember on the gas tank hits the driveshaft, it could probably go lower without actually hitting the frame on the axle (not much though)

when I had 15s on it, it almost laid out, and probably would've if i had real bags instead of leaf springs
