Thanx for all the input fellas. Anyone else wanna chime in, i appreciate any info. According to Kevin's research the wheel base of my pathy is the same as the 2wd std cab HB. Changing frame mount locations wouldn't be too rough.
My Pathy is a 4wd obviously so what about transfer case and tranny issues??

youre gonna need to swap to a 2wd tranny, and ecm

unless you're planning on doing an 8 inch body drop to clear the trans/transfer case and a van style center console, lol. either find a good 4 cyl donor truck for an engine/trans or find an early 300z trans. i've been searching for something to match up for a while, tough to come by around here.

So when i swap the front clip from the 1990 pathfinder for, lets say, a 1990 2wd HB, will i have to tweak the motor mounts at all or will they line up?
shavedmax   +1y
more than likely yes. the pathfinder is a v6, most 2wd trucks are 4 bangers

wheelbase is the same for std cab hardbody and pathfinder.....the core support front and rear cab mounts are the same, after that you gotta make the rest.i swapped out the frame under mine wasnt the easiest thing in the world but its doable.if i had it to do again i would sfbd the truck frame before putting the body on.

also im almost 100 percent sure that the motor mounts(frame wise)are the same

hardluk87, thanx for the info. was it a real pain to bd the pathfinder? and what plan of attack would you take in sfbd-ing one?
dizzle   +1y
the bd wasnt that bad,i just hate welding up hack floor body drops,i hate welding sheetmetal, plus its hard to make it look nice.
as far as sfbd you should probably just look around on peoples profiles and check out the pics.or maybe start a new thread askin to see peoples setups.

im about to start one here just using a 2wd frame. i kno the pathfinder is like 1.5" wider i belive but that might mean the hardbody frame will make tuckin eassier? who knows. my goal is to sfbd the frame and all while i ahve it apart. im gonna try my best to keep a backseat too. im still lookin for a 4dr body tho.
