who makes a 250 amp alternator, when i put this thing on a 190 was as big as i could get, and it had to be custom made

Sorry about that mess above there are about six 200 amp and one 250 amp on ebay at the moment.

i have one red-top and a 200amp alternator it runs the comp with no problem. i think you may need to get ur alternator tested it may not be putting out what they said it does.

i dont understand the thickness of the wire for it. isnt the wire that is on the compressor itself only like a 6g? how would running a 00 to a 6g make it better. in the end its still running thru a thinner wire

i think i'm gonna put a CAT battery outta a bulldozer on this sumbitch and mount it right next to the compressor that oughta take care of the wire problem, and give me plenty of power, sounds crazy but i think it'll work

just get you an alt built around here a 250 alt would run you around 100 but thats if you can get a deal

The longer distance you run the wire, the larger gauge you need to run to compensate for current drop. Even though the Oasis lead is only 6 gauge, that lead is only a few feet long. To go from the front of your ride to the back, I'd recommend 0 gauge wire for any Oasis installation.

As for the high output alternators, be careful when buying one- off eBay or anywhere else! Some of the 200+ amp alternators put out a lot of juice at higher rpms, but absolutely suck at idle- like worse than a stock alternator! If you're at a show hitting switches with your truck idling, you could still be draining your batteries!Good luck with your problem!

those wranglers look bad ass but they're a little pricey
