makes me laugh. new company comes out and everyone is in love with these new compressors. then all of a sudden majority is having problems. My question.... why not just stick with a company that has been suppling air ride compressors forever and that is the standard.

Whos that? I dont know too much about em.

I think Poot is referring to ViAir. I run a ViAir 450 and it does its job just fine, have never used a AZ as of yet but jsut know about all the issues that everyone else has had so I really cant say much about it since I personally never owned one. But just like Seth said take it with a grain a salt and do your research and see whats best for you and what you want to deal with.

I have had air zenith compressors on my truck since nov. of 05. there first batch of the red and black ones were bad. I had 2 quit working me on me. ( i have 3 total) I got them swapped out, and i have not had another problem with them. So i like the az comps.

It's even funnier when people forget about ViAir having the same exact issues and still has the same issues as AZs. Granted Lance has improved replies but the supercrew in my club went through 1 380 1 350 3 450s and 2 480s. Each time he upgraded hoping to solve the failures and nothing. Each time they didn't stand behind their products and did not warranty anything. He went for Oasis. As far as AZ, at least they warranteed compressors and worked on designs flaws. Voluntarily recalled compressors. But by the statement why not just go for the true tried and trued? Firestones or Thomas? Everyone has an opinion. I use AZ's in the toy. Never had an issue. I don't find them any louder then the Viairs I have heard. They are a little louder then the Firestones they replaced.

If you get a good Zeneith, I'd take it over a viair. But with all the BS going around with AZ, you'd be safer with a viair
