I am gettin ready to have two Air Zeniths installed on my truck. I might love my Air Zeniths but if I had to redo it I would prolly buy Viair 480's. When I bag my focus I will be going with one Viair 480. I don't have nothing bad to say bout Air Zenith cuz I have heard mixed feelings but I have seen alot of people have Viairs and I know that alot people that really like them.

It's even funnier when people forget about ViAir having the same exact issues and still has the same issues as AZs. Granted Lance has improved replies but the supercrew in my club went through 1 380 1 350 3 450s and 2 480s. Each time he upgraded hoping to solve the failures and nothing. Each time they didn't stand behind their products and did not warranty anything. He went for Oasis. As far as AZ, at least they warranteed compressors and worked on designs flaws. Voluntarily recalled compressors. But by the statement why not just go for the true tried and trued? Firestones or Thomas? Everyone has an opinion. I use AZ's in the toy. Never had an issue. I don't find them any louder then the Viairs I have heard. They are a little louder then the Firestones they replaced.

I agree, you cant swing a dead hooker down at the local shop without hitting a couple dead viairs. A few are 450's that exceeded the max pressure, but a few are not. My 450 on the mazda is still alive, so dont think I am a hate monger either. I have had both, and that is unique enough perspective for comparison, I would say.

It should tell you something when a company provides you with a rebuild kit and tools to do it with. Plus the fact that my boy Seth can't get a hold of anyone from AZ. A sure sign they might be going out of business. I MY opinion, there won't be any opinion 'cuz AZ will more than likely be no more. Used Viair for 7 years now and even when they do go out, they go out hard, rarely leaving you stranded

Wait so its a Bad thing that you can fix a compressor? Interesting. If Firestone made a kit I wouldn't have gone through 4 of them. If Viair had made a kit my buddy wouldnt have lost as many Viairs. That's some really bad logic. So a Small block chevy sucks because they make rebuild kits?

i bagged my car right when the AZ comps came out and i went ahead and tried it. i burnt up 3 of them back to back each of them lasted maybe a month...
i was using only 1 az on a 5 gallon tank in a heavy car, i then upgraded from a 5 gallon to a 12 gallon and added a 2nd AZ and ive been realy pleased for the past 6 months not a single problem. the fans are a joke though, they only lasted maybe a week but it didnt seem to help much anyways.

Great I feel like a big jack a** now cuz I bought two Air Zeniths for my dime. Possibly hearing they may quit and take a crap. I am kinda scared to get them installed on there now. I should have bought Viairs.

engine driven or Viair, I will nevr touch AZ compressors after all the horror stories.

I have the dual 380 pack on 3 gal, and I'm not a switch whore so they've been working perfect ever since day one. I had engine driven on my old fullsize and if you want to use the switches constantly, you pretty much HAVE to do that or get nitrogen, 12v air compressors just can't keep up and stay reliable

Ive thought about gettin a nitrogen tank but I have no where in my bed to put it. Once I take out all the stereo in the back Ill tub it and be able to put the tank in it. Who knows when thatll be though lol. Im pretty much broke now.

I personally would never buy a AZ just based on peoples comments about them. I have installed numerous Viairs and have never had a problem. But on my own I'm running the tried and true Thomas. Reliability! It isn't about speed on fill, if you want speed run an engine driven or just juice it.
