Seth, i'm sure you've done this, because your Seth, but did you tighten the wire up. For the first couple month's all my wires stretched a little. I had to go and retighten them. Mainly the drivers door. But after tightening them twice I never had another problem. Mine weren't mounted on an angle though, they pulled straight. Just a thought, you didn't mention it so I figured I would ask. But you probably did that already.....

They're still nice and tight. I put the crimps in the press, they haven't loosened at all.

And there really isn't anywhere else to mount my popper other than where it is. My door is like 2 inches wide and the popper is over an inch wider so it had to be mounted on the inside face of the door rather than the jam.

Pull it out clean it stuff some grease in the top then pull it up and down to work the grease in a bit. Dont put power to the popper unless its under load. then re mount the popper in a new location making sure it has a as strait shot to the latch as possible. If this isnt possible goto the bicycle shop and get a 90 degree router thing for brakes. It looks like a 1/4 circel with a groove in it. they also have a wheel with a groove in it there very easy to mount and lets you mount the popper in all sorts of angles.

damn thats alot of work for a door popper...im glad i dont have to take tech phone calls about those solenoid door poppers!

I had that problem before and everything was straight and tight. It ended up being my button to activate it was getting burnt up. I replaced it and after a while it started doing it again. Then I realized the amperage was too high for the button. Wired in a relay and never had anymore problems. Are you runnin a relay on it?

Mine has a relay in the box.

sounds like someone didn't wipe well enough ... oh, that says popper, not pooper

I was wondering how long that would take.

haha

I knew i wasn't the only one here!

Anyway Seth, i say buy some Audi A4 buckets and handles. Or better yet, put your stock CHROME handles back on

I hate door poppers, and love door handles.

Fortunetely, i'm a minority.

I've just had bad experiences with poppers. They seem so fragile, yet trunk poppers are the same and those come on 100's of cars made every day!

Obviously i'm just retarded. But i'm secure in that, thats why i'll always have handles

Good luck with em though, hope you get it all workin good!
