Thanks for all the info. The kid I am bagging it for is willing to pay for different fittings so I'm gonna switch back to compression style like I have always used. I didnt like the idea of doing push locks from the beginning. The guy from SD said they work fine and said that they dont sell the old style compression fittings anymmore. I figured SD wouldnt sell me something shitty and claim it to be good. Oh well, I guess if something works well from the beginning dont try something different cause thats all SD sells. Lesson learned, stay away from plastic pushlocks.

compresion fittings are the best.but if you want to stay with the push conect there are a few things to do make sure the hose is cut square on the ends, when inserting the air line give them a slight twist as they go in you should feel the line lock into place when it goes past the o-ring then give it a slight pull to see if it is locked.some times the push conect give a false feel like they are locked in.you probanly know this but i thought i would throw my 2 cents in to see if i could help out

i run the all brass fitting from gravity werx and have not had any problems with them ever on any of the trucks ive done.. i used compression fittings one time and 5 min after the tank pressured up the line came out of the fitting and gave me a nice whack on the face.. but fittings are kinda like air valves they all have there ups and downs at some point just find what you like and use it
