Thats funny! I personally have firestones, had them on for over 5 years with zero problems. I am putting a full set of slams under an S-10 in the shop and they look like great products. I have seen friends Airlift bags blow the clamps and the center band and look like the pictures above. Jim at Airlift will not be able to help you out, as he works in a different department now.

I got tired of my airlifts looking like the post above and doing this also. Stretching out to one side so much that it would rub on the frame and pop. Mine is also a daily driver. I fixed the problem by getting some slams. You should get slams or the connitech 4ply.

Do this....go to a shop and ask to see one of each the big bags. Firestone, Contitech, Slam, and Airlift. Look at each of them, hold them in your hand, and then try to compress them. You will choose the slam bag. If that don't make you a slam guy then find one of each that has at least 10,000 miles on it. All of them will turn shitty and soft except the slams. I gaurantee you will start using the Slam bags once you do these tests.

i've seen a few airlift bags look like the ones pictured too, one of them he didn't notice til it warped over and rubbed the frame and popped

I have contitech on my s-10 and really like them, slam bags are good too

my firestones had 2 years.. i'd say probably 15k on em b/c i know the previous owners never drove it.. they look 15 years old and not a 1 stand up straight worth a damn.

im personally a slam fan.. a friend has a shelf full of screwed up airlift bags from the last few years.
