I am about to start installing a Corvette C4 independent rear in my 69 C-10. I am looking for ideas on how to mount the bags. I am wanting to raise the floor as little as possible and not have any holes in it. Does anyone have any ideas or pics.

If it is a stock frame section, the vettes use a transverse leaf that is mounted solidly in the center and actuates the suspension off of each end via a "shakle" like connector that is more like a sway bar end link. Build an inner pivot where the springs would mount to at the center and run your "bag arm" out to each wheel with the same type of connector that is stock. It would be similar to the S-10 rear links with a foward facing link system, just mounted from the inside out.

you could cantilever it, heres one picture of how Ironworks Speed and Kustom in Bakersfield, CA did it on their 57 chevy truck...they can be mounted facing forward too, dont have to be going side to side. this rear end may be a little different than what your using as it is a c6

I don't know how much help this will be, but it may give you a basic idea.

That's the best overall pic of the set-up. Here's one of the bags mounted on the bars...I tried to keep it all as simple as possible, in case I wanted to go back to the leaf.

Has anyone mounted the bag on the link bars. Can you mount the bag on the top link bar? Any other ideas?
