Z-24 HELP

so I'm having one hell of a problem with my motor
ill start from when it happened to what Ive figured out now to this point

i was driving my truck when it just shut off so i pulled over and tried to turn it over and it wouldn't it was acting like it was out of fuel put some in the tank and down the intake and nothing...towed it home and started tracing down the problem and found that i didn't have fuel or spark found a wire that was on the battery turn. and was fried so i stripped the insulation back and most of the wire was gone{bunt up} ran a new wire as a jumper and it melted in my hand tried it three more times and it did the same thing of melting but only with the ignition in the on position so after 20 or so blown fuses i found the relay that the wire ran to and replaced it still nothing ran a jumper wire on the relay and can get the fuel pump to run but still no ignition i have pulled the whole wiring harness out of the truck and unwrapped all the wires and went over every wire and nothing out of normal was found... reinstalled the harness and it was the same engine would crank but no fire ran volt meter on the wire that was fried and it was power when the ignition is on and not hooked to the batt. so it has power when it shouldn't replaced the computer and still nothing and then hooked the wire that was fried to the battery and i herd a POP looked for what popped and cant find it not a fuse or a relay so ????? now i cant get it to crank or fire only a relay on the fuse box clicks when i try to start it please some one know whats going on and how i can fix it


i have been fucking around with it for two months now missed three shows and fucking going nuts with it

sorry long ass post but the more info the better i hope

(sounds dumb) but check the ground strap on the motor (from the head to the fire wall)that is what was wrong with my buddys kept burning up that same wire

no its not that the strap is fine and Ive even added anther but thanks please keep the ideas coming though

i dont care if it happened to a mazda s10 or yota let me here your thoughts

is it z24i?the wire close to the battery is a fusible link dunno if it would help but try to get a diff one from the junk yard or something......i wouldnt suggest wiring past it,i did that once on mine and toasted the harness from there to the computer=had to buy a new harness......anyways try to replace the fusible link they unplug from the terminal

replaced the link and blew it the wire has power when its not hooked to the battery and cant find out where its coming from

have you looked at the ignition switch?maybe something in it internally has crossed over.
