yup thats right, lake Mendota to be exact! southern side of the lake kinda by campus...

They're TYC LED tails and i had my paint guy do it. i'm not sure exactly what he does (as prep work) but its several coats of a semi clear paint.

i had my stock ones done up the same but they didn't look NEARLY as sweet as these do with the rows of LED's... and these are safer being brighter and all...

they make rattle can stuff that you can buy but i'm not sure i'd trust it on $200+ tail lights.

awesome man! i love seeing Rado tails in s-10's right side up or upside down they still look sweet IMO.

being plastic i cant imagine theres too much prep work involved. obviously a skilled painter would probably know anyways.

As far as prepping them goes you can just scuff them down with a scotch brite pad. The paint I'm not as sure about but I have heard about sprayable tint. you may could just add a little black to clear coat to tint it and that might work. You are right though I wouldn't practice it on 200 dollar taillights!
