Thanks for the advice Robbie. I would definitely like to come by and see the shop some time. I was at the salvage yard a week or two ago and looked out back but everything looked closed up.

I know you've already said you've found a building to lease, but I would've recommended looking for a building with 3 phase. The building I'm in has it and it saves quite a bit running a compressor, welder and saw on it. My utility bill runs about 120 a month or so with it.

Actually, the place I have picked is wired for 110 and 3phase 440 already. I just have to wire in 220 single phase for my welders and plasma. But the 3 phase will be nice, because my lathe is 3 phase, as well as a lot of mills, and even some of the industrial band saws I have been looking at.

Oh, and the unit I am looking at has a contract with Banks security, so that if I want I get on their contract and pay $29 a month for the security, and they install an alarm for $80 or something like that. I get 30 days to mess with it before moving in, so I plan on getting security and wiring done before then.

If it was during the week chances are I was here. Being on the highway defeinately doesn't have its peeks, as I usually keep the gate closed to keep people from wandering off the highway and just eating up a bunch of my time. I'll be here saturday if you want to swing by or any day of the week works also, if you want to come by in the early evening let me know and i'll hang out a little later.

Its good the building has 3 phase, you'll like that a lot when buying new equipment.

The other bit of advice is before you try to get a bank loan or even a loan from family, you might look into getting a credit card with 0% for a year. It's usually pretty easy to get one with a limit around 5000 or so, that can buy quite a bit with that and have no interest in a year thats pretty easy to pay off in that amount of time.

Well now I know for next time. It was around lunch time so I figured you may have been down for that. I'll try to get down your way sometime soon, probably not this week though. I will call before hand this time. Now that I know how to get there. Lol.

I actually just got a small business credit card with 0% and no annual fees with a $4K limit. I also have another 0% interest with a $3K limit. So with a family loan, and what I already have saved I will be running into it with almost $20K available to me. I'd like to keep the amount of credit I use to a minimum though.
