Hey guys, Im really new to doing renderings, and I just found out that Im not good enough yet to help anyone with their renders so Im going to post a couple of mine and I was wondering if anyone could offer some critiques, and possible give me some tips on how you guys like Surface, Eye Kandy, and Kutting Edge do theirs so damn well...Thanks in advance everyone and to the places I mentioned above, you guys are incredible, all the renderings that are put out are amazing...

Again, I still don't know how to post pics, so I will only have links...sorry...

You have to put at the front and end of your link and start with img src = http://etc.

Ok well ya they ain't the best but they also aren't the worst I've see personally, since you wanted pointers here are some, always cut out the windows and put in new ones and change the opacity on them so you can see the backgrounds, always cast shadows on your rims from the fender wells and carry that on to cast shadows on your brakes from your rims, alway put brakes in and don't make them yellow, if your going to do graphics use the original paint and make your graphic out of that and then change its color so you keep the lighting of the paint...same as the pinstriping or you can use strokes sometimes and change the color mode...well work on that and post up some more and don't rush them...you can always tell the difference between rushed images and ones that took time...also one last thing is start with high res files...you can find some on netcarshow.com
...and this is all constructive...don't take it any other way.

your pretty damn good compared to a lot of the people's work I see regularly. Work on what was stated above and if you havent already done it I would highly suggest learning the pen tool.

Thanks so much guys... And everything you have said will be takes constructively for sure!! I honestly (as dumb as this sounds) never thought to use a different truck as the base for the rendering... I've always used a persons vehicle for the base... The only other thing I wanted to know is when you do the paint, mine have that real look to them where yours all have that wickid rendering look to them, do you actually paint them or do you adjust the colours? Thanks for the kind words Michael, Im doin my best haha!

A lot of us yes are starting to brush (paint) over all the reflections in the paint to make them look the way they do...but if you look in the website I gave you, you will see that a lot of the images are already pretty clean as far as reflections and most don't brush over anything on them besides shaving things.
