well, for 10k i can get the motor, tranny, computer shit and installed without me having to touch it one bit. and a professional installer who is gonna time it and make it run perfect.

i just wish i knew someone that would buy my stock i5.

ok i have no life and im really into the ls series. they're probablly the greatest performance motors ever. the ls1 came in the 97-04 standard c5 not sure about power but somewhere in the low to mid 300's the ls2 comes in the 05 and newer vettes. the ls3 is probablly what you'll see in the new camaros its gonna have about 436hp. the ls6 comes in the 03 to early 05 z06 and it has 405 hp the only difference between it and the ls1 is that the ls6 is drive by wire. The new ls7 is the one everyone wants comes in the new z06 and has 505hp. As for the ls8 it supposed to be a 650hp supercharged version of the ls7 thats meant to stomp vipers. I know i didn't answer your question about s10's but any ls series small block in an s10 is cool to me

damn, so how much more is the ls 7 compared to the ls2? just parts alone

well right now you can get a ls7 for like 13k but all you get is from the intake to the oil pan. It doesn't include the accumulator for the dry sump oil system or any of the hoses or even the oil pump its a very. Then you gotta buy an ecu and wiring harness. not worth the trouble when you can get the ls2 for about 6k then all you'll need is headers and wiring and ecu

LS2's are in gtos and c6 corvettes. LS7 is in the new z06's. LS2s are rated at 400 to the crank to the wheels its about 350 give or take a few. There basically a bigger version of the ls1, bigger bore stroke, way better flowing heads, and a better cam. The ls3 is even better.
10k for completely installed ls2 is nice. considering a good low millage drivetrain would go for close to that.

or buy a RamJet 350 crate motor (330 hp and 400 fpt). I has all the performance internals, EFI, with the ECU. I paid $6500 with the a/c, p/s, upgraded alternator and starter. I got the motor for $4800 from my local GMC dealer and it arrived in a crate just like they said.

i got a stockass 350 in my 89 and it smokes anyone on the street.
a vw bug is the only thing iv'e raced that even came close.
mustangs, camaro's, bmw's, hondas, nothing comes close, if you dont have the $ just build a 350 and you will own almost anyone

Well its not an S-10 but me and my brother built this little rocket. Only after we tried to get it to fit in a 97 Tacoma (damn behind the crossmember rack). It was not really that hard to put in.

And for you s-10 guys here is another truck project in the garage.

i read that the 8.8 is wider than the 7.5, you gunna narrow it or just mess with the offset of the rear wheels ?
j_kinz   +1y
It is a little wider, but as of right now we are just gonna let the use different offset on the wheels. Withe the rear-end in the drag-lites sit flush with the bedsides. We're not gonna bag it so clearence isn't a problem for it.

The rx-7 is a 00 Z28 pull-out and the 6-speed.
