Just read it.....

There are other shows that fit the criteria of what I'm about to say, I'll just use these 2 as examples. I was looking through some old magazines and came across show coverage from mini nats in pf. Brought back great memories. I remember when you could go and see hundreds of trucks and lots of those were feature trucks, so and so forth. Heres my "complaint". So many people get on here and talk about how things will never be the same, or how charlies show is more about imports now with nopi, or how the cops suck in pf, or how the quality of trucks is not there any more, etc.... Ok, if you think charlies mini nats has to many cars then quit complaining and bring your truck and that will change. If you think the cops in pf suck then show respect and quit doing burn outs, or dragging, or showing your boobs in the middle of the streets. If you think the quality of trucks is not there then build some badass trucks and bring them. I guess my point of this book is we are ALL ADULTS, lets act like it and quit complaining and do something about all these shows that are already gone or about to be dead. (although I know I'm complaining somewhat!!) It just seems like we all like to sit on this computer and talk about how shows are dieing and will never be the same, but half the people saying these things do not go and try to help keep the shows going. I hope everybody sees my point and agrees with me, and hopefully for 2008 we will see more threads about how good it was again and not so many threads about shows quiting like Reso, LOATP, Showfest, etc... or how the shows suck like, mini nats pf, or mini nats nopi, etc..... Come on guys we want to bring back old skool minis, well lets bring back the shows like they used to be!!!!

seems to me that there are alot of people that are just burnt out on the scene or mad at a certain somebody and all they have to do is come on here and complain and bitch about all the things you just mentioned.i guess what im tryin to say is,if you are one of the people that are burnt out and are bringing the sport down,then just leave.go hang out somewhere else.hell half the people that come to this site probably havnt been into the scene for a long time,they are just here because they are well known for some shit they built years ago.any ways,sorry if i offended any one,go build somethin!!

MY TRUCK MIGHT NOT LOOK THE BEST BUT I'VE PUT ALOT OF WORK INTO IT IN THE LAST YEAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT.I'M WORKING ON IT AT NIGHT , I HAVE A 9 MONTH OLD SON AND A WIFE, AND BOTH OF US HAVE 60 HOUR A WEEK JOBS. THE POINT IS I RESPECT THE SCENE EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T BEEN HERE LONG. I TRY TO GO TO SHOWS AND I DON'T PARTY, AND GET DRUNK, SHOW MY ASS , AND DESTROY EVERYTHING SO PEOPLE THINK I'M COOL. I LIKE GOING TO SHOWS THAT THE FAMILY CAN GO TO, AND THERES NOT DRUNKS AND SKANKS ALL OVER THE PLACE. I THNK THEY ARE THE MAIN REASON FOR SHOWS LEAVING. HELL EVEN IN THE CITY I LIVE IN HERE, WE USED TO HAVE CRUISES AND SHOWS/GET-TOGETHERS AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH. NOW B/C OF THE YOUNGINS AND MORONS NOBODY WILL DO ANYTHING B/C THE POLICE HOUND YOU. THE MORAL IS THAT I AGREE WITH BOTH OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS AND I THINK IF YOU CAN'T COME OUT AND BE ADULT AND RESPECT ONE ANOTHER ; STAY YOUR ASS AT HOME. SORRY FOR THE BOOK

I think alot of people miss the entire point completely. People say they are tired of the SCENE...or I support the SCENE...well the "SCENE" is not what its all about. dont forget about the love for building TRUCKS and CARS....if you were sick of the SCENE you can easily take your truck to a show, show it, and go home...if the true enthusiast was in you....dont build your truck to try and fit in somewhere.

I'm fairly new to the "scene" only been around 2 years but it pisses me off all these people k the amount of beer you drink and how many shows you go to doesnt make you a mini trucker I think having a fucking mini truck and representing the fact that driving 1/2" off the ground is the only way a vehicle should be driven makes you one. My trucks been under the knife for along time and I get it back for a few weeks and am not happy with it and have it cut up some more, building friendships and helping anyone whether you just met them or have known them awhile, thats the scene, not acting a fucking idiot in public because you can go to a show and wear a mini truckin shirt.

The thing that pisses me off is "this is so and so he's in (INSERT CLUB)"

You don't have to associate with everybody. Hang out with who YOU want. Do what YOU want. build SOMETHING instead of being a mini trucker without a truck or a mini trucker who hasnt shown or had a truck in YEARS. I understand the friendships will always be there truck or not but it pisses me off people in clubs who dont even have a vehicle its like saying you have 30 members and 10 vehicles.

Agreed, Its the trucks and cars that make us who we are, everything else comes after that.

im sorry, but i would have to disagree. people assocate themselves wheather they have a vehicle or not in a club and its kinda shitty that people get that butt hurt that someone has at one point or another had somethinggood enough to be in a club and you are dissing them. i wouldbe prett pissed if i would see that and are working on something and get introdced for being in a club. so quit bitching about stupid itty bitty shit like this. if it bothers you that bad look into maybe getting another hobby, and quit trying to take a club name away from someone that has earned it.

Listen guys, lets not start bashing each other (although thats usually how all these threads end up!!!). I wasn't even talking about clubs or what the definition of the "scene" is when I started this thread. My point is I want to make some of the older shows that have been around either stay around or help them grow where they used to be. Thats just my 2cents, I guess I just hope not to lose anymore good shows and hopefully have some the "others" grow. I don't post much on ssm anymore just wanted to throw this out there.

Well MO I dont think you took what I said the way I meant it. Someone who had a truck lets say...10 years ago..

But it was more directed at people who just throw on a mini truckin shirt become friends with mini truckers get wasted and destroy and disrespect shit. And drive away in a beat up honda civic. And don't even have a project sitting in their garage.
