Sit the framerails on some tubing that equals the amount of Z you need..Tack the 1" tubing into place where the cut will be, and at the front of the clip where it will be cut also.. (Keeping everything level).. Cut the frame along the side of the tubing to ensure a good straight cut.. Remove the tubing from under the frame rails so that the frame lays flat with the front crossmember. Weld it back up, plate the sides.
