my question is a few things.. i was looking at the ART coolride kit for the ram and it its the lower control arm, upper mounts and shocks and whatnot.. my question was, what size wheel and tire will this lay on. a friend of mine is wanting to get this done soon and he has 22s with 265/35 i think.

is there anything with the front of this truck that im going to run into as far as laying out wise? the back is no problem, we are going to make our own link setup for the rear and do bag on bar for some good lift. but the front is what i need to figure out.

if anyone has any input on this, i would appreciate it. thanks guys!

I'm not to familiar with the ART stuff, I used the ekstensive arms and layed on a 265/40. To get the front end down and get rid of the camber your gonna have to raise the uppers ( I rasied mine 3 inches) and to lay true rail you might as well go ahead and z the front end while your there. Oh yeah the tranny memeber is another PITA a 2X2 crossmember will fix that. I just drug mine flat till it layed not the best fix tho Hope this helps

is this something that is required to lay out on 22s is raise the upper mounts? or will it lay, just with sick negative camber?

did you Z your frame on yours? and i was lookin at the trans crossmember also, looks like a bitch.

i think the gas tank hangs down a bit too, did you do anything for that?

see also delorean? you just confused the shit out of me. does the truck lay without the upper control arm mod? just mods to the cup and or lower a arm? does anyone have any pics of this layed without modding the upper mounts? ive only seen side view, not down the side to see the neg camber.

you dont have to raise the upper arm mounts to lay. but the camber and bump steer are so bad you will not be able to drive it layed. I have pretty good pics in my profile of the camber. I havent had the time to raise mine yet so i drive it lifted and park it layed! Yes you will have to move the gas tank mine is in the bed ghetto style but I learned my lesson on my S-10 about leaving in the stock tank.

awesome pics. did you make your notch out of box tubing before hand? what size tubing did you use. i was going to use an sd notch and just chop it as nessecary. and for your upper and lower link bars... did you make a crossmember to mount them? or did you mount them to existing ones? aand im guessing that no matter what, upper mounts need to be fabricated for the front of these trucks?

your truck looks awesome. and great welds on that notch too! im just trying to do all my homework before we bust out my friends truck in a few months. did you do anything to the trans crossmember to lay or are you just gogin to hammer it until theres hardly anything left? lol

thanks for all your help jon!

Box tubing 3x3 1/4 wall prebuilt, the lower bars are mounted in the factory leaf mount, Yes you have to make a new crossmember to the upper to mount to the gas tank crossemember need to be removed. you will need to narrow the rear end about 2 inches one on each side. I havent touch the crossmember yet because my rearend isnt narrowed yet and the back rubs even after trimming the lips of the rear fenders. I just lay it out when i park!
