i got my SPAL shaved door kit on ebay for like 100 bucks. IMO thats a cheap mod. just save up a little money and do it good

shaving handles is not more secure they will just break the window like they did to mine a few years ago. there nothing you can really do its just the risk we take by leaving expensive stereos in a car. even i can disable most alarms in a couple of seconds I've learned by installing my own alarm and if they cant disable it how long does it really take to smash and grab.

Shaved Handles are illegal in Australia because you have to still have a manual way of opening the doors....but there is a simple way around it , that i think , would suit you , what you do is , get an internal door lock a use it on the out side.....these are the only couple of pictures i could find...but you should be able to work it out

You can use your key lock to open the doors, you have to just bend your rods, its easy, stare at it for a bit while working the door handle and look at the key tumbler, and you will figure it out, mine are done like that and have been for a long time!

Since you say you can't use the stock keyhole your cheapest bet is to use a cable of some kind. Though if I was a thief and saw a truck with shaved handles the first thing I would look for is the cable.

Just put a lion in it when you have it parked. Cuz Nobody fucks with a lion.

What about the door lock motors from a car with electric locks. They're electric motors in little gearboxs that make them into pretty powerful actuators. I've used them on a Rube Goldberg project for school. They've got some balls and you could probably get them for free.

I would suggest you not shave your doors if you can't even afford a door popper kit.

just save up the money for a good popper kit. trust me it will be worth it, trying to get in a truck with a popper kit that only wants to work half the time is really aggravating.
