Just because something is on the cover of a magazine doesnt mean it defies the laws of physics and geometry. It takes some enginineering skills to design a suspension that performs well. Lots of guys are more than happy with the cheap route, and just getting the truck on the ground as quickly as possible. I'm hoping the mentality changes a little with places like Bio Kustoms, Chassis by Aaron Iha and TCB getting more and more publicity. Pushing the envelope in properly engineered and 100% functional setups is nothing but positive for the scene.

I love the way my 2 link rides and lifts but it sucks when im going up a steep incline. One of my wheels always leaves the floor.

People that build trucks do so with the intention of showing off.Not racing or anything performance oriented. To your average truck guy a two link is a improvment over a set of leafsprings. In fact there is no other auto on the planet that uses leafs. What does that tell you?I don't use two links and for sure won't put anything that ugly on a show project but can see why people use them. They function safely and the arc keeps the u joints from binding.Thats about all its good for.In a perfect world your scene would be filled with killer setups but our sports needs will never dictate that. All you can do is be a leader by example.

"there is no other auto on the planet that uses leafs"

HA! i beg to differ. there is a grip of vehicles that use leaf springs for suspension. at least leaf springs allow your rear axle to articulate.

high performance and functional performance are two different things. a 2 link falls in neither category though.

simply put, a 2 link "works", but only by keeping your axle from out running you....

The link is solid mounted to the axle and pivoting at the opposite end. It can't NOT have pinion change. If the bars are long enough you may not see it with the naked eye I guess, but it changes. Theres no way that it can't. I don't see how anyone can even argue that.

Heres my old ass video I made, with some new music. haha.

yes, also explained a lot to me that i never understood. Dropkick Murphys kick ass as well, well done, sir.

if your interested in using a 2 link then watch the video provided by illblazer, after watching the video and you seem to still be interested in using a 2 link, go find a sharp corner and bash your head until you pass out from intense pain!

joebobminitrucker says "my 2link has worked fine for 2 years!" ahhh....shove it! if you still want a 2 link after watching that video then you dont have the intelligence to learn, which points out a lot bigger problems you have! wheeewwww.....i feel better now!

a prime example of why minitruckers have the bad rep we do in the custom world.

it totaly understand what you are saying. as for me personaly, i wouldnt run a 2 link but in some cases where you dont have a bunch of travel its not gonna make your car a pile of crap.. but at the same time pinion angle is very important. but i dont see someone running a 2 link giving them a bad rep.
