Optimas suck IMO. I've got one that went dead in the Nissan and refuses to take a charge. It's also not even a year old yet.

yeah i got two of those in my garage. pretty expensive paper weight. mine will take a charge but they will lose it by the next day. mine were brand new and did that.

the ones who are bitching. are you sure you got starter/deep cells? Before you go bitching, maybe you should of checked to make sure you got the right battery to buy. Just a deep cell will go bad over a short time b/c its not made to start.

I have several friends who run their comps, 3k plus wattage of amps without their truck started on red top optima's for 3-4 and i think one guy had his for 5 years now, its been in 2 different trucks... still kicking!

not really bitching...just stating my experience. Never bitched to anybody about the batteries, just bought a new one and moved on. Shit happens and things break...even good products.

there are a shitload of people who uses the optimas with great results. They may or may not be the best choice in batteries, but obviously a good choice.
