capacitors???

just run a new wire from the alternator terminal to the battery (fused)

keep the stock one on as well, but run a new one directly to the battery

just upgrade your big 3 and dont worry about a capacitor. then you can upgrade your alt. the pos wire from the batter to alt doesnt need to be fused. main reason, both ends of the wire are still live since one is from the battery and the other from the alt. then do engine ground to frame and neg battery post to frame. take maybe 30min to do all of it.

Caps are worthless. New Alternator, bigger ground.
