square body burban hidden hinge kit for barn doors

one of the people that come to my work has like a 2003ishhh i wanna say sub with barn doors out back and i dont remember seeing outter hinges on it next time their in ill check though

wow, thanks scott! You're my new hero!! This ought to be a pretty much straight swap, right guys? I mean, i know i'll have to drill new holes and stuff, but i should'nt have to do much else, right? Or will they not work because my burb has a much more drastic angle (goes out and down instead of almost straight down)?

they will work, but they are huge n will need to do alot of cuting, i would just go with a tailgate n it looks better in my opinion

yeah, a tailgate won't require any cutting at all, lol. i'm not sure how much modding i'll have to do to get the tailgate on it. i like the gate better too, but i'm just working with what i was dealt, lol.

'73-'79 the holes are usually there to swap over to the gate, '80-'91 and up they are not. I'm sure it would be a lot easier to put a gate on than to put hidden hinges on it though. But that's your call.

If I find an install that was done for the hidden hinges I'll let you know. I know of a '69 Sububan with a rear gate / flip up window where he made it a one piece gate similar to the new ones. The whole thing lifts up as one! He put hidden hinges on that one but it's a totally different set up.

In order to hide your hinges you would have to put both hinges below the body line so they are in line. If you did one below the body line and one above the bottom of the door would hit the body. Suicide hinges are probably your best bet.
