Swapping 4wd to 2wd on a Tahoe

we did this one a few months ago. we used the stock front clip, stock spindles, built new, shorter arms, and ditched the transfer case. if i were to do it again, and wanted to keep the 6 lug, i'd use a 99^ front clip or just build one from scratch-- that way you can use a drop spindle. if you don't care about the 6 lug, do what toda party did and use doner parts from an 88-98 2wd.

thats my next option but ive never done it and it might be a little out of my ability. I am also having problem trackin down a 2wd front clip to start a buid. does any make a crossmember to start a complete custom frame?
