If he plans on using the axle bags for daily driving and the link bags as backup for towing i could see that setup being highly useful. Interesting stuff.

he could also just unbolt the bags over the axle and just put them back in when he feels like towing...

to the topic starter... if you would just move your bags closer to the axle you would lose the "squishy" feeling, and assuming you are just hauling a bumper pull trailer, you'd be fine with 2 airbags....

im plannin on towing a car trailer with a caddy on it... thats a lot of weight for 2 bags on the bars considering theres already like a 3 to 1 ratio on them
