Just wondering... cause I was told a rough estimate of 3500 by a good shop. but Im on 18's with 40 series tires So basically 20's all the clutch Bs wil have to be relocated...and I was told that because my bed is already cut for bags I cant have that BD'ed and raised because it would be to weak? So im wondering if its even worth it cause I will have to scrape my liner myself, and I know I'll have a cramped ass space because of the conventional but I cant afford anything else for a long while.

just my opinion, i think $3500 is a little steep. I was qouted that for a sfbd to the rockers with my 99 ext cab s10. I know with the stock floor, you're looking at about $1000/inch. Cut floor should be at least a little cheaper, since it's mostly labor instead of material. I could be wrong, though.

thats true but I am in california and labor costs are redicklously expensive. and u figure to the rockers is like 3.75"

the only way your bed is gonna be to weak is if the cross supports were cut out more than above the axle.
I usually start at 1800 for a conventional depending on what kind of truck it is and if it needs to be torn apart/put back together ect ect.

That seems to be an average price around here at shops.

The cheapest I will go is about $2500. But I don't charge much more for a stock floor.

But I'm not dealing with huge overhead of an industrial building.

Hmmmcause Im sure I'll get charged more for the 18's on 40 series that he dosent know about yet so u guys think 3500 is too much?

Not for a California shop. But $3500 should be bodydropped on 20s. It shouldn't matter.

3500 isnt a bad deal. just take it to IF, should be around that to get it done on 20s or 18s

3500 sounds about rite to me. plan on 1,000 bucks an inch for a traditional and a little more for stock floor. and the thing is its not the metal that is expensive it is the welding gas, wire, cutting wheels, and sawsall blades. that is why it wont be much cheaper then a stock floor.

I'll never understand the $1000 per inch thing.
