Draggin chopped up VDUB Blocks?

I hear people talk about this but that it. I hear that they have a high magnesium content and throw different color sparks when you drag.

Good way to catch your truck on fire and not be able to put it out if you ask me. Once magnesium gets to a certain heat it will ignite and be hard as fuck to put it.

How about everyone goes back to draggin frame, body, or both and just weld on some flat plate. This block, hitch ball, etc draggin is fuckin old.

I totally agree people are turning into pussys, scared to drag thier truck, anyone ever seen a trailer ball come out from under a ride it isnt pretty.

Hey Salas when you see this thread post the pic of jasons car when the drag block came through the windshield after gator drag!

I agree with all of you just wanted to see if anyone has heard of or done this. Now that my memory is coming back to me, I have heard of pepole breaking these blocks up and using them in bonfires... Its eaither the blocks or the transmissions.... cant remeber.

just for the love of god dont try and dump water on it to put it out or it will blow up in your face.... water on burning magnesium = hydrogen bomb practically

old VW Blocks are Magnesium...People used to use them in their bonfires in Glamis all the time till it was outlawed. Basicaly you cant put them out.

and for those that don't feel like ruining our trucks...do what? Theres ways to do things, and trailor balls isnt it. Sure draggin frame is "cool" and body is "cooler" but those who want to have a little fun on the highway at no expense to their ride......id say blocks are fair game.
