those are old tech articles, but not too much help. Id just like to see pictures of stuff already done under the hood of a standard

Sectioning the motor mounts is pretty easy. Just pull the mounts off the frame and then put the bolt back in the mount. mark them and cut an inch from below the bolt. slide the bolt section down. I didn't do it like the minitrucking article and i think it turned out way better. It's worth the time to actually pull the mounts. Don't go more then an inch or you'll never get it back on. The oil pan basically sets on the crossmember. you don't have to cut up the oil pan. at least not on 98 and up and i believe the pan is the same on earlier ones also. If you still can't clear the hood you have to cut the front corner off the intake and slope it and reweld it.

Here's a pic of a relocated clutch reservoir on a 96 bd'd on 20's. It's under the dash. I didn't do it but it should give you an idea.

I think its clean when people just cut out and fab in a piece on the hood and mold it in over where the motor sticks through. Hell, I think it would be tight if someone did that for the wheels and tires on the sides of the hood. Not alot, maybe an inch max.
