i have the 800a2 amp too. and have the same prob. everyone says that amp should rock the hell out of my truck. but it doesnt. i was tempted to try and send it back to fosgate see if they can test and fix it.

is your box ported or sealed? Do you have the right dimensions? Are the subs single voice coil or dual? Do you have it wired in series or parallel? There's lots of reasons it won't sound as good as it should, can you give some more specifics? Or it could be the amp is just old and does'nt push as much as it used to. I don't claim to be a expert by any means, but the slightest thing can make a huge difference in how it sounds. Where are the subs facing? Lots of people don't know that bass loads against something solid, so if the subs are forward facing, the bass goes through the seat, you, then loads against the windshield. My subs in my s10 were pointed at the floor and hit hella hard. I know this does'nt help that much, but just letting you know that it could be one or more of many different variables. I'd like to hear what others think of this, because i'm also going to be putting 4 12's in my burban.

I have 2 Mempis M1 12 inch subwoofers in my tahoe and they pound. I have a Memphis Belle Mclass Amplifier pushing them. I am very satisfied with my Memphis gear. Very reasonable priced and good quality. Crank the hell out of them everyday and have had them over a year with no problems. Just need to get a higher amp alternator, isolator and second battery.

I have a 96 tahoe. I have one 10" p2 dvc i put in a prefab ported box made by fosgate (it had a blown p2 svc) and I can get that thing to rail off my T3002 power amp. Something must be wrong...

i called crutchfield the company i got them from and i got them wired right there dvc's and the bass knob is about 3/4 way turned up on both amps i have 1/0 wire from, the batt to the splitter then 4 guage from that to the amps the box is ponted up towards the ceiling which is probably my biggest issue and yes the box is built right spec wise and its sealed. i always remember in every car i had 2 12's and they pounded but the space in the trunk is smaller then the whole cab size in the tahoe

so no ones got any oppinions. when i bought the subs from crutchfeld the guy was liek damn thats going to bang. i was thinking i know thats what i want. its just not loud enough. i know there is alot more space in the back but with 2 12's in my car sounded or felt alot louder just cause you can feel it in your check but then again the air space in the car is alot smaller.

you might have the subs wired wrong or the settings on the amp incorrect
