To be honest man, it's all about your box and the install. Back in the day (2001) I had an explorer with 6-12's that was outrageously loud. I got shut down by a blazer with 3 of the same 12's. Next weekend I started researching box designs and wiring configurations. I sold 4 of my 12's, built a fiberglass box for 2-12's and damn near beat the back hatch off of the Explorer. More is not always better when it comes to car audio. I have one JL13w7 now that literally tears my truck apart. It's all about the install man.....do some reasearch about ohm loads and box geometry. Just my .02

i built the box to specs sealed the inside and built it with mdf 3/4" bult it to the specs of the speaker and i talked to people at crutchfield when i got the subs and he said to wire them a certain way and that would be the most powerful for me. everyone i talk to is liek oh ya youll blow your windows out and its not even that close. whats more powerdful series or parallel?
i forget how i have them wired

If I remember correctly, the 800a2 can handle only 4ohm mono or 2ohm stereo. Which in turn means that you would be lackin power. When i was running the bd1000s on the fosgates i startede with 4 hx series 12s per amp and it ran ok. When I switched to the he series it ran more efficient. Firing your subs backwards or down firing will definitly be your best options. Firing down you dont hear the mechanics of your woofers. In my 99 burban that I had I was running 16 hx series 12in woofers on 4 of the 1st generation bd1000s with an adjustable slotted port. It would make your nut hairs straighten at times. If I would have waited I would have ran the bd1500s. But the whole vehicle disappeared before I had a chance too.

me being the idiot i am check this out.... there dvs's when i hooked it up 4 ohm i did the pos and neg from the other side and the 2 oposite neg and pos i ran to the second speaker instead of running it to the amp. so i re ran the wires and it sound a whole hell of alot better but one set of subs dont move as much as the other set and there tuned the same and bix is exactly the same

definatly the space is the issue you dont have as much compression on the cone of the sub woofer as you did when it was in the drunk try down firing them and mounting the down very well to the floor. the less the box moves the less counter reaction from the subs
