I don't think it would have kept you from spinning. That would be an anti lock thing. This valve increases brake pressure when it senses a load in the rear. Hope you didn't hit anything!

when i did one, i plugged the 2nd line at the master/prop valve, got rid of the entire line going back, and hooked the remaining line to the axle like normal. worked great.

I did the same thing radar did, but a while back some dumbass pulled out right in front of me so i mashed the brakes and my truck locked up and spun 180 on the highway. Would the proportioning valve stop the rear from locking up? .....

I think so. After I bled my brakes, I went to test drive mine, and forgot to adjust the valve back down so it was all the way open. I got cut off and my rear tires locked up quick and I spun about 90 degrees before I stopped. I now have it adjusted so that the front and rear lock up at the same time.

what about the line that im assuming is the return line? just ditch it?

Seth with the factory PV your talkin about is there anything else i would need to do as far as the lines?just wanna make sure i do it rite cuz the last thing i want is my shit to be screwed

Yes, you do not need a return line. You don't need fluid to recirculate back to the master cylinder, because the fluid is being pressurized. Its not flowing through the system like fuel. I don't know why anyone would think that..

As far as the factory proportioning valve, get it, the bracket, and the lines that connect to the master cylinder. Your factory lines will have to be modified a bit to fit with it, but its not hard.
