Looking for help on bd a hardbody

matter of fact , check out some of the other threads in "the HOuse of Hack " forum .. we dont always do the bodydrops the same way ... but the basics usally stay the same though...

did one last jan. what is it your interested in knowing

Thanks for the help, I'll check those threads out. I think I've got it, Maybe just some Hardbody specific pointers.

I know this is just the gist of it but here is my plan:
level truck out on some square tubing
Strip truck
Cut strip across back wall 1/2 smaller than actual body drop
cut firewall(be careful not to cut fuel/brake lines)
cut sides of floor to connect cut
tub firewall, move wiring harness/clutch/smaller break booster
make filler plate and weld it all back up
cut front frame horns and drop them the same amount as BD, gusset and weld.
move strut rods to back of LCA's.
Bed is pretty straight forward cut, drop, weld.
Drink Beer.
The only thing that concerns me is what to
when we get to a cab mount. is there any that get cut through? and if there is, what do we do after that?
And if any one had any pics of the relocated strut rods that would great!

you will be cutting the mounts on the cab .. but not the frame ... usually try to cut out and around the frame mount avoiding cutting threw bushings....

i usually just just cut the radius bars mounts off the front and raise them up and reweld...
but there are plenty of dif ways to deal with the radius arms.... just make sure the wheels will clear when turning....
