ac compressor ??? can i ??

what oil does everyone use in there compressors? can I use a compressor oil, or should I use the a/c oil like it would have originally had?

The york compressor is about the best and cheapest. $20-$30 at most salvage yards and are on most older cars. I believe porsche's had a serp belt on the ones they used. Or you can machine them for a serp belt.

There is also one out there called a Tecumseh. It is made of cast iron or steel and weighs a ton compared to the York which is aluminum.

you can go to o'riely auto parts and get the same compressor that come in the kits but it pumps faster for about half what they cost from air ride people.

anybody know where i can get a compressor bracket for a 400 small block chevy needs to mount on driver side if at all possible
