Hey does anyone know a loop hole in the califonia dmv for a small block conversion for an s-10.... as far as i can read there isnt one... any one go one threw?
In California I believe you can upgrade but not downgrade meaning if you have a 96 s-10 you can put a newer motor in it but not an older one. I know it used to be that way but not sure how it is now.
just claim its out of a newer truck. as long as it still passes smog it should be ok
its a 750hp small block... theres a 6-71 stickin out the hood.... smog isnt an option lol
get another s10. switch vin numbers. illegal but....
Find a diesel! Diesels don't get smogged.
Too bad S-10s don't come in Diesel tho... HA!
slap a doner motor in, run it thru the smog then swap. Just dot drive it down the road
register it in az. or find an illegal smog
throw an lt or ls style motor in that bitch, use all the stock crap form the new motor and let er buck! as long as its newer than the s-10 you shouldn't have a problem.
ok the thing is alread built so the get a different motor is just out of the question....
i still have the stock 4.3 i can put in it but then what about exhaust and shiznet... this is going to be expensive and a pain in the ass! oh and im not running the stock wireing harness so the computer for the efi wont work
