1994 here.

I bought my first minitruck in 1997, as a high school senior. A brand spankin new 1997 Ford Ranger stepside. I loved that truck. I was the first in my area to have fast bags in 1999!!!
So, I guess I celebrated my 10 year anniversary this year!

i started in 97

built 4 minis and bought 2

5 of those were nissans lol

I got into minis around '88 or so. Owned an '86 Ranger.

I had always been into VWs since I was around 10 or 11. I transitioned to reading MT around 1992 or 93, and I got my first mini- a longbed B2000- in '94.
I've gone back and forth from Datsuns to minis, but working here at FBI keeps me somewhat in touch even when I don't have one of my own in the stable!
I wish Bob Hase was on here (poor guy's stuck at Reso!) so he could tell us about the days BEFORE minitrucks- when they drove vans with spaceships airbrushed on the sides and wood paneling on the interiors!

I guess around 90-91 for me.. I'm 36 now but still lovin the scene..had 5 ranger over the years.. now i'm in a fat boy friendly truck.. *NR* AL/GA PREZ

Been driving a Toyota's truck & reading MT since 96,retired in 2001 & started my project 88 toy @ age 55. Almost finished 7 years now,will be 62 this April!

well i've been driving em for 7 years now (since i was 16) but i've been into them going to shows and such for bout 9 i started young bout 14 liking em. i had a static dropped mazda longbed when i was 15. it was a piece that backfired everytime i shifted gears but thats what happenes when all you have to do for a truck is be a welders helper for a 2 weekends and they pay you with a truck.
