Well been at it since 88-89 time frame. Had a 88 kingkab nissan hardbody hammered on 15x8 inch cookie cutters and a solid side snug top. First show i went to and saw like three suzuki's with 15x10s. they said the pretty much flipped their leafs to get hammered. Met some dude named Russ LaPorte from mississippi that had a 720 convertible with a night rider steering wheel and he was so short he couldn't see over the dash. Then went to Resos in 89 when the lambo doored 720 and gullwinged door schirrocco with tandem axles on both were still in primmer. AAAAAhhhhhhhh what memories. if I can get ahold of a scanner i will post up some pics
15 yrs in the game christmas day and I haven't looked back. Some of my best memories revolve arround minis and the ppl who own them. I even have a mini truckin tattoo so the sport will always be with me. I'm 29 now btw, I got an early start
I STARTED MINI-TRUCKIN IN 82 AND STILL GOING STRONG.
IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE BUT WHEN IT GETS IN YOUR BLOOD YOU CAN'T STOP ( LIKE AN ADDICTION).
ALL I KNOW IS THAT I WOULD NEVER CHANGE A THING
My first mini was in 1995, it was an 86 GMC S-series, static dropped, with a removable convertable fiberglass hard top, and rollinon 15" eagle 5 star..take a look!
in 1989 I was in the Navy with a guy named Dave from socal, he talked about his toyota mini on "cookie cutters". On leave I bought my fist minitruckin at a train station outside chicago and that was that. The isssue has been gone from my home for 10 years now, but I still remember clearly the chick in a yellow bikini sitting in a wading pool at a show.
I would love to find Dave again, if nothing else but to say thanks.
