I'd hate to state the obvious, but if you have to ask those questions, maybe you shouldn't be doing it!

That's like asking how do I drive my car? How do I start it? Where is the brake? How do I steer?

Maybe you should learn the basics of how to drive before you get behind the wheel.

If only there was license for fabrication.

Sorry

So I guess you were born with a grinder and a mig gun in your hand. Everbody has to start somewhere.

Im down for what wayne said! Just do a lil homework first! Trust me "trial -n- error" will occur beleave that, study the shit out of pics. I did that for almost 2 years plus asked mad questions before I started cutting on my shit and everything has been great so far, Some fucks on here think there king shit on turd mountain! And really they just have a gingder stuck up there ass, oh well nice to see we have so much family in the scene now a days, good luck

I understand someone has to start somewhere, but a chassis is not the place to start (in my opinion)

These are very obvious questions, are bends mandatory? No there are many back-halfs with not one bend in them
How do I make it strong?
Design it properly!

I did not intend to come across as a dick, sometimes the best help you can offer someone is none at all.

I know you aren't referring to me in this comment. If so I am curious as to what basic questions I asked? (since I bagged my first truck in 97' and did my first back-half in 98')

For the record I am not and will not be part of any "scene"

Man, I could have sworn this was a tech forum for info... Pneufab... and for your info, I have done suspension work before, but nothin this extensice. And since none of my friends have dont this kind of thing either, I would ask for help... TIs not like driving a car... Nice try at a analogy.. try again.. No, I dont know how to set up a rear suspension, thats what i am asking, sherlock... Well if there are so many sites that can help, how about a link or 2... that would be helping also... Sorry that my suspension work has been basic as of now and i want to try something new... thanks for the help...

i wasnt being a dick, whether you take it that way or not doesnt bother me. you can't get answers without asking specifics. biomax has a great article on 4 links in the suspension section, read it. this may be a tech section, but a lot of trucks are getting hacked because of people building just to drag there shit and sell it. thankfully people have started to speak up, thats all this was.

read everything, ask specifics, and make sure your welding is strong enough to be doing suspension work of this nature.
