I'm not quite sure how to post pics on here so i was wondering if some of you could go to my myspace page and tell me what i need to do to get my chops to be worthy of selling. Go to www.myspace.com/assdragger and look in the album titled photoshop portfolio. You can leave your opinions on there or in here.I know they are not the best in the world but i need help to make them the best in the world. Thanks

well i think the first step would be..... set your myspace profile to public instead of private

i hate to be the bearer of bad news man but you need to do alot. alot of practice before you think you can step it up and do this on a professional level. its too bad that everyone that picks up photoshop and drops and chops a few rides thinks they can get paid doing this. until you can sit your rendering side by side with a professionals and see no difference i wouldnt even think about tryin to charge someone. no one should pay you to practice. practicing should be done for free.

and just a few tips. you need to delete your backgrounds from your windows and make the windows transparent. also adding brakes and correct shadows will help to increase your cleanliness and realness.

how should i go about deleting the stuff from the windows and keep them coming so i can bring it to a professional standpoint.these were all friends cars, where can get more cars and wheels and other stuff that are high res enough to play with.how long did you all practice before it was considered professional cause most everybody tells me they like them but they are not pros.i need all the help i can get.

I guess the real question you should be seeking is why do you want to do proffesional renderings? The market is what I would consider saturated with choices. Many try all the time and fail. Im not saying you will, im simply saying you should consider if there is a market for yet another guy doing renderings. And at the end of the day can you market yourself better than the rest of us that are well established?

i agree with what was said above, i mean, there are so many sub par guys already, and they are pretty good, and then you have the really clean heavy hitters, surface, KEG, Carter Hickman Designs. it takes years to be good at renderings, and you have to pound the pavement on them all day long to get to some of the levels out there. i mean, i look at it like breeding bulldogs, if you arent doing it to better the breed, or in this case, the market for digital renderings, why do it at all? why give us more of what we arleaady have and probably dont want more of?

nice words of encouragement, maybe i should just keep it local (family,friends,etc...)This is just one of thoase things that i want to figure out how to do.You never looked at something and wondered "how the hell did they do that"?this is just one of those things that i want to learn.Just like website design,I want to learn that also.I'm going to school right now for micro-computer specialist and these are some of the things that i can say that i know how to do so i can be self-employed one day. That is why i asked for opinions so i can get better and say that i can do it well.
